First time poster but looking for a while. Not sure this is in the right forum but I didn't see a forum for HD equipment. I'm currently a D* subscriber with 2 Tivo units and looking to upgrade to HD unit since I have an HD ready TV now.
Which service has the better HD DVR box? The D* Tivo HR10 seems to be the way to go for me, but still no 6.3 update and complaints that it runs slow. Maybe able to get it free through customer retention.
Used a friends Comcast Moto 6412 and just seems old compared to Tivo. Comcast seems to be the most economical since there is no yearly commitment and they don't charge you for any equipment
Never used the 622 from Dish Network but seems to be a good box with the two TV thing and dual tuners, Hmm can I use the 2nd TV thing for PIP on my TV? Haven't called to see if they have any packages to entice me over so I don't know what they would charge.
Also on another topic, HD local channels do I need an OTA antenna or will I get them through the satelitte HD package?
