I'm hoping that the collective wisdom out there can help me before I have to go into Customer Service Purgatory.
I live 55 miles outside of Los Angeles, and I currently receive LA local channels in standard definition. I have the 3 LNB dish because I wanted to be ready for HD, and I was told 3 years ago that this dish would be HD ready.
I'm getting the system ready for HD now in anticipation of the new HR20, and I need to know the following:
1) Do I need to put in this 5 LNB dish I've heard about? I hope not, the WAF on that dish is a problem.
2) What satellites and transponders do I need to see to get everything I want (SD locals which are not broadcast in HD, HD locals, HD and SD satellite programming)
I'm sure that some would consider this a bit of a noob question, but I sure would appreciate some input. Thanks.
