I am tired of the dish companies thinking that a qualified installer is not worth a good wage. I have rejected 2 calls this week. The CSR will get the customer that is having trouble to sign up for home protection. Then they tell the customer that they will only pay $29 to have their dish repaired. I get an email for a call and you know what I get to do the service $19. That rate does not even cover the mileage to get to a call 45miles away. On top of that the CSR tells the customer they can cancel the dish protection after their system is fixed. One other call was to repair a superdish with a likely bad LNB for $49 parts and labor. I told that customer to call dish and have them send their guy $49 doesn’t even cover my time. I will not go on a dish call anymore unless I get paid my rates. I pride myself on doing quality installs and try to follow NEC unlike some installers.
Every customer seems to want everything for free because dish tells them it is to either get or retain a customer. If dish wants to give the customer service for nothing its not going to come out of my pocket. Quality and professional service is not free. Does everyone hear that! Independents stop accepting dish calls for their low prices .Demand a fair price and do quality work
