Did I miss this feature or is it MIA

On my 721 there is an option to turn off the Timer from blinking on screen 5 minutes before it fires. Is there something like this in the 622.

I an guessing since I never found it in a 7100, 501 or 721 that there is noy way to stop the ff, pause etc. buttons from displaying? Nor a way to disable the time bar at the bottom of the screen when FF/FReving from displaying.

Hopefully I just missed it but I'm not real hopeful.

I don't think you missed anything. I think I read somewhere that Select on the remote will remove the timer from the screen, but it does not bother me enought that I ever tried it.

I guess it just annoys me that it comes up when I was able to turn it off in the 721. With the 501s I have to hit cancel to remove it from the screen. I'm still not sure if caller ID annoyance factor outweighs its usefulness.

There is no blinking timer on the 622. There's only the countdown clock that will appear if the channel on the tuner you're currently watching will have to change in order for a timer to fire. There's no way to turn that off.
