My HD TV displaying weird colors.

I have a JVC 56" HDTV and two nights ago it flickered and turned itself off and I had to unplug it and plug it back in. When I did that, the screen had a red overlay on it. It is also showing weird bold red lines across the screen in random areas. The tv has the extended warranty where they will come down and check it out. I was just curious if anyone has an idea of what could have happened.

I have heard of this.. I will check our system tommorrow at work & give you troubleshooting steps on it.. k.. I want to say it is an issue w/cabling but I will get back with you.
