...it's way too easy!

The Home Shopping Network (HSN) is offering a new service which will allow tv shoppers
to buy their goods using a TV remote control. According to the company, it is the first of its
kind available in the United States. The new shop-by-remote interactive TV service began
testing in Hawaii earlier this year with parts of the New York market active now.

I wonder if it will come to E*. It would not be too hard to add the feature using the Enhanced TV and Open TV options.

If Dish manages to integrate their VIP receivers with WildBlue, the whole process could be via satellite. Land line internet would be as easy as plugging in an ethernet cable. Assuming the ethernet port ever does anything.

It would have a tough adoption curve, though. I can't imagine the early adopters paying HSN prices for stuff when internet shopping is available.

The phone line connection would work for this feature - like Sharper Image in Dish Home.

My mother would love this, too bad it's for HSN not QVC though :)

I hope there's something for security so kids aren't ordering things. I could imagine a mom or dad finding that out. LOL Maybe a password you'd have to enter or something.
