I was attempting to force download the new software and nothing happened.

The machine didn't even try to download the current software. Was this feature disabled?:confused:

Not that i'm aware of, sometimes it just takes good timing :)

I forced last night just to see what it looks like, and it re-downloaded 1047.

I would be suprised if they disabled it. I see that as an installers tool to ensure you have the current version at install time.

I called D* tech support because I was running 10c8 and tried to force d/l but wouldn't work. They verfied that I should be on 10d3 so they escalated my tech ticket to programming and they said someone would get back to me. They also told me they have received alot of calls about this problem.

No...

10C8 is the latest National Build.
10D3 is currently rolling out, and at last conversation... is only available to the first "customer" group set.... not everyone....

It could be several weeks until "everyone" gets the 10D3

The 10C8 has been terrible as far as my machine goes. Everything is so ssslllllooooow.

I called tech support tonight and told them the slow speed etc was driving me nuts...."Special Ed" out of their OKC offices(yes he called himseld that) said he was going to force the new download to hit my machines soon he hoped...not sure when it will actually take place...the last update was 8/2/2006 at 3:30 am.

Crossing fingers I get a fix...!!

Well, I almost got a job there about 6 years ago and if it is the same now as it was then....I had good reason not to take the job and I can understand why that guy called himself special.
