I'm not deep into the FCC regulations regarding consumer electronics, but with the HR20 having RF remote capability, why would it not be tested by the FCC? The R15-500 has a FCCID, the R15-300 does not. Now the HR20-700 also does not. Can anyone explain why the differences?

The typical standard FCC stickers are on the box...

The ones talking about being able to receive interfearence and stuff like that.

I'll post a picture of the bottom... once I scrub the Serial and RID information off the one sticker.

Would you also post pictures of the sides as well please?

Sure... but I can tell you right now... there are no "air vents" or anything on the sides.... just solid metal on both sides.

Devices only need to be FCC-approved if they TRANSMIT radio. Therefore the RF remote would need to be FCC-approved, but if it's only one-way, then the box itself would not need to be FCC-approved.

Why not just use tape to cover them up, or black them out in Photoshop, etc.?

Oh... it isn't that... it was me just not having Corel installed on the system I did all the video/screen editing on... (rebuilt the PC the weekend before)..

I have edited some of the shots, didn't get back to that one.

That could explain why you could never find it on the FCC website.

Yepper. So Humax went through the time and expense to get a FCCID just because they wanted to? I guess so.
