I am a guy and prefer the softcore over the hardcore. It allows the use of my imagination a little more instead of putting it all out there clear and easy.

In short, the point is that some folks like it enough to subscribe to it. It's cheaper per month than the "real" porn channels, and its defensible if anyone ever finds out that you paid for it. "Oh yeah, Cinemax has some good anime and independent films now and then, so that's why I've got it." ;)
