Time between new channels

How long of an average wait time is there between the time DTV adds new channels. It seems kind of slow and I expected more to be added (besides the spanish gossple channel).

I've never really noticed a pattern in it, especially because DirecTV is more tight-lipped about new additions than Dish Network. A big expansion in national HD is expected probably sometime next summer. Hopefully a bit earlier, but I'm doubtful. I'd say 2-3 additions on average per year and somewhat yearly increments but not always. Maybe more feedback?
