One of my D11 receivers did not function when installed. I did not have a TV in the bedroom, so the installer did not check it.
When I got him to come back one week later, he did not have another receiver with him, and promised to bring a new one with him when he returned to the area--another week later.
Next week I had to call him, and discovered the transmission had gone out in his truck. He said he would call me and give me a "heads up" as to when he could bring the replacement box. That was over a week ago!
There are four reasons I have not complained to anyone: 1. He is a really likeable guy and did an EXCELLENT cosmetic job on a fairly large install. 2. I still do not have a TV in that room. 3. I certainly am not rich and can understand car problems, and 4. I am not generally a complainer.
HOWEVER, I would like this all to get settled and make sure I get the replacement I deserve. I am afraid as time goes by the company will try to claim the box broke after installation, which it definitely did not do, and make me pay shipping for a refurb. I don't want to register a "complaint," per se--just get a new box.
So who should I call? If your response is something similar to "Burn the creep!" then please don"t post; that's not my style. Thanks!
