I don't have any HDTVs right now, but plan on getting one (soon?). Can the DirecTV HD Receivers send standard content to standard TVs?

I am just trying to figure out my timing on equipment purchases.

Yes, I got my HD reciever about two weeks before I got my HDTV. The picture looked great even on a SD TV, but wasn't HD of course.

:) NICE! You answered my question without me asking it. I don't have an HD in my basement but was going to get the receiver anyway just so the HD channels would come through.
