Directv transponder

I just installed my directv and I'm receiving signal strength of around 80 on transponders 22-32, but nothing on 1-21. When I switch to tv, I then receive a "searching for satellite signal" message. Could these two be related - should I attempt to get signal on 1-21? Thanks!

Are you sure that you are not pointed to the Wrong satellite? Sounds like you are pointed to 110 which has only 3 or 4 transponders active on it. Make sure you are pointed to 101.
