Availability in Kansas City area?

I know we have the mpeg4 locals here in the area but everytime I call I keep getting shut down that its not available. The reason I ask is that I have an install date of the 18th for a hd receiver but I dont really want it. I had 4 sdtivos and in a matter of one week I was indirectly hit by lightning and lost two of them.

Had the dish repaired and then another crapped out on me. Bought a new HDTV and want to upgrade but even an HD receiver would seem like a downgrade to me with have dvr functions for so long.


Any help would be great, ive called 4 times and keep getting shut down.

I got one ordered yesterday, (HR20), but without an install date yet because of lack of availability in this area. She told me to call back around the 10th to see what's up with installs in this area.
Yes, the locals are available here, but it's based on your zip code and county. We are 5yr. customers with TC & HBO/Max w/locals. No sports or anything like that.
$81.00 after credits etc. off bill is what she quoted me and noted in account.

We'll see.............

By the way, I've seen several 5lnb dishes lately in the area so it's here!
