Hi,

I have read several variants of my questions, but want to be sure how and if this would work. My interest is in watch Pittsburg Steeler football. I have older directv receiver and dish already(bought on ebay). Directv will not sell me just the nfl package and I do not want a base package.

Is this possible. I have a second home in Pittsburgh. However we are only there 2 or 3 times a year. Can I get the base service($29.99) package with local channels, set up under my pittsburgh address, and install my dish and reciever at my main home in Michigan? Will this allow me to watch the Pittsburgh local channels in my Michigan home?

I know this will bind me to a 1 year committment. My second question is can I then suspend the service after football season, and just reactivate the following season, without any charges?

Thanks in advance..Bret

No, local channels are on spotbeams. Very unlikely the spotbeam for Pittsburgh will reach Michigan.
