Did anybody else have to call to get PBS added to their DISH Nets package.

I called and was told by the CSR that PBS is not included with the Distant Nets. I do receive the national PBS feed on 249. Is that wrong?

That is correct. Distant nets only include ABC, CBS, Fox & NBC. Dish was allowing all channels from Denver, Dallas, Chi, & ATL for three months. They sent out a letter in July telling subscribers they will lose those "extra" channels in a short time. That time was August 1st.

Yes, had to call to get National added. Just lost it as as a distant tonight. I can't see how this crap helps E* customer relations at all. If you qualify, you should just get it.

Looking at the E7 & E8 spot maps, the Denver extra stations (not abc/cbs/nbc/fox) are the ones that probably will not move to spots anytime soon since they do not point a spot there.

They probably do not want people getting used to the extra stations in their distants packages so they can move them to spots and free up transponders for national.

KRMA 8206 Denver, no longer available via Waiver or anything. National PBS requires a CALL to E*???
