View Full Version : HR20 on the way -- How to Archive Shows off of HR10
OK, DirecTV retention relented & scheduled me for an HR10 x HR20 swap next weekend.
PANIC -- I have several dozen shows that I have saved on the HR10.
I don't want to put them onto VHS tapes -- what are my options for getting them onto DVDs or the hard drives of my Macs? (I do have a Sony VAIO XP Pro laptop but the hard drive is mighty small).
Thanks.

You could go get a DVD Recorder and hook that up, if ou have a video capture card in you Mac you could use that. I don't know if the other methods that some Tivo user can use work on the HR10-250 but you can check out http://www.tivocommunity.com to look for OTHER methods. :)

GaryNot sure of the exact rules of dbstalk, so I'll use the same rules as I would on the tivocommunity site. You need to search around on the "underground forum" for an answer to this. It is possible.
