I called customer retention and they said I only would be able to do that if I leased the previous receiver, whereas I bought it for a coll $300 or so.

Has anyone had any success in getting theirs free or at least discounted?

Keep calling retention. I called once and kept asking for the $19.95 shipping only offer and finally got it. My friend got one first call. He didn't have to ask.

He also asked for 4 months of free HD which he and I got as well.
