Just got off the phone from ordering Hr-20, scheduled for install on 9/15. I also called the installer and was transferred to my local warehouse and was told that they only have the Hr-20 in stock, no 10-250's. I called retention last night and was told by nice gentleman that he had been updated and told that they would be available today. I guess he was right. Got it for 19.95. Just upgraded to H-20 in April. Furthermore, I live in a small town about 200 miles west of Chicago and my locals aren't even available in HD, let alone mpeg-4, so the theory that they will roll out to places with mpeg-4 locals first didn't stand in my case. I had been denied ordering in my area at least 6 times, so give it a shot today if you have been shot down previously. Maybe I just got lucky. Good luck to all!!!

I just tried for the umpteenth time and am told again that HR20 is only available in LA or thru Best Buy. I'll try again tomorrow.

I just called Retention, Spoke to a SUPER NICE Laura. She was very funny and a pleasure to talk to. I also was very nice in return.

She said best she could do was $200.00 off the $399 price. I said that was still too steep.

I said that when I received my HR10, I was told that I would get the HD Locals (true story), so I called and complained after I got it. They sent me the H20 to help, but I could only put it in the kitchen and that doesn't help watch HD locals in my Living room where I am mostly. She asked me why I don't watch HD Food channels in the kitchen, ha!

She said max offer was $250 off the 399. I said "hmmm...is there any credits to help offset the remaining $150? She said she could do $10 off bill for next 12 months.

Net Cost is $30.00, I said "OK, if I have too". She laughed. She had to go to her supervisor to get the $10/12mo deal, but it went through.

BTW, she had worked there for 2.5 years in Idaho, was leaving company to move to Delaware. There is no call center there. I told her that company will miss a nice positive person like her. I asked for her supervisor to give Laura the a "good survey" for the outstanding effor she provided.

Now I am happy.

Right, I didn't want to push further. I already got the HR10 and the H20 all free within the last 3 months. I wasn't about to go that far.

Now I am going to switch my Father in law from E* to D* and that will give me leverage for future needs.

Now if I just had leverage with the wife to get a HDTV in the bedroom....
