DTV changed the web site a while back. Now I can't find my subscription information. I am interested in whether they think I own my equipment or not and how long my commitment is. I wrote to DTV and they provided the info, but they would not or could not tell me how to get it off the web site. They just said to call if I couldn't find it!

I can get the subscription information and I can get the serial number and location of my receivers, but I can't get their names or whether they are owned or leased. DTV tells me all my equipmet is owned and my commitment extends to 2/29/2008, but I would like to know where they found that.

BTW, I recently replaced an HR10-250 that I owned. Somebody in another forum told me the new unit would be leased and my commitment would be extended by two years. Apparently that was not the case, or if it was, it has not been registered yet. I activated the receiver (with the old card) two nights ago.

If you view the activity since your last bill, it will list the $4.99 charges as "Additional Receiver Charge" for owned units and "Leased Receiver" for those that are leased. I'm not sure what it may or may not show for your primary receiver.

To the right of that screen is a link called "View Orders". Mine showed the HR10-250 that I bought in August 2005, the SD DVR40 that I got back in January and the most recent HR10-250 that I obtained in June 2006. I did not see a place where it actually listed the commitment end date as they had shown before, but if you know when you got the last receiver that carried a commitment and that is listed on the "View Orders" page, you should be able to figure it out from there.

Hope that helps a little.

That helps. All my stuff is owned and it shows. My order info is a little vague, but may explain why there was no charge for my defective HR10-250. I ordered an R15 in December and it shows up as ERP_HDDVR_R Group. I think the HDDVR may have lead them to believe it was the unit being replaced. I actually did have an HR10 replaced last year and it was recorded as ERP_HDDVR_1 Group.

I don't know where the 2/28/08 commitment comes from, since I didn't do anything in 2/06.
