Okay I am in the need of using 2 WB68 multiswitchs to power my 5 dvr's I plan to attack this by running the 4 lines from the AT9 into 4 power passing splitters and and the lines from the splitters to the corosponding ports on the WB68 multiswitchs.
Okay I think this is correct someone correct me if I am wrong on any of this. Below is a pic of the splitters I plan to use will these work okay with the WB68 and the AT9 dish?

You are correct.
Now you have room for three more DVRs:lol:

This is the setup I have and it does work but, it seems like my receivers are a little more sensitive in this setup that without the splitters.
Since these multiswitches are not powered, I think cable run length may come into play.

You need splitters that only pass power on ONE port.
Also, Zinwell has their new WB 616 on their site.

With the WB68 being passive, people have reported better results with both ports passing power.
With powered multiswitches (such as the new Zinwell one $170ish, or the Spaun $500ish), if you are using the splitter technique, then yes, a single passing one is preferred.

Funny, because I've heard the exact opposite from other sources. The word I've received is that you can use splitters that pass power on all ports with the passive multiswitches whereas single port power passing splitters should be used with powered multiswitches.
I'm still waiting for my AT9 dish to arrive so I can install a similar configuration. I have the dual port power passing splitters and two WB68's so I'll let you know how it goes when I'm done. It will probably be at least a week or two before I'm able to get everything setup.

Note: It looks like ZCWC.com is merely a reseller.

Wow I ned to get one of these. I have some pretty long cable runs so I think having a powered multiswitch will help.
