Club Dish New Installation Cost

I have had Dish for a year and enjoy it, help my parents sign up this weekend.

I signed them up for the Top60 Plus plan for $39 that includes free locals, under a 18 month contract. They will also get 3 months of HBO free (Trial)
The installing company wants a check for $51 the day of the installation, but will credit my parents $49 on the first bill since they choose the 18 month contract. I thought my installation was free, when I signed up?

Does using the Dish Club really help them? I gave the installation company the club number, they mention that this would give my parents another credit, but could not figure out what that would be? Will I get $5 off my bill after my parents have Dish for 30 days, or will it just be a $5 credit towards PPV?

Seems confusing, maybe that is Dishes plan...Read the fine print on back of the Dish Club Card, it just reiterated the same as above plan.

Anyone else tried the Club Dish Card?

I gave my Mother inLaw a ClubDish card that she used to to Order Dish from the 800 #. She didnt have to pay a thing up front. From what I understand using ClubDish gets you Free install with nothing up front. (When I orderd dish without a club card I had to pay $49 but got credit on my first bill.) And yes after 30 days you will get $5 off you bill for 10 months and also recive 5 PPV coupons.

51? You might want to call dish about that charge. I thought the current promotion was free setup and equipment with the only charge being a dvr lease fee under the standard 18 month commitment.

Was the installation arranged through DISH? If it was you are being overcharged $51. If the installation was arranged through an independent dealer give them the option of honoring DISH FREE install promotion or change to another dealer.

It really sounds like the local retailer didn't do the ClubDISH promotion at all. The $51 may be what they do with a regular installation and shouldn't be needed for a ClubDISH promo.
Mine says:

Call your friend and remind them to call 1-888-920-GIFT(4438) (or visit a local participating Retailer) and sign up for DISH Network.

You could call the above 888 number if you can't sort it out with the local guy before the install date.

The $5/month credit will appear on your bill monthly, but not necessarily right at 30 days after they are installed. My regular DISH billing cycle is the 10th thru the 9th, but for me, ClubDISH $5 credits always appear on the 16th. You might not see the $5 credit on a bill generated right after they have been using the system for 30 days, but pretty shortly thereafter.

The info on Club Dish is FREE installation, think they are being duped on that. You get $5 off per month plus 5 free PPV coupons. I saw the coupons just before the first credit appeared on my bill.
