Any way to transfer video from the 622 to a personal video device? I noticed that Dish is selling some products for that. I have a 30GB Creative Zen Vision M on it's way to me and thought it might be cool to try and watch a couple of recorded shows on it.

Only to the pocketdishes (via usb). Of course, you could always connect SD outputs to a video capture card on your computer and capture it over that way, and then send it to your Vision M, but that's the only way to do it. That's the advantage of the pocketdishes.

Can you send HD content (in SD) to the pocketdish?

Not previously recorded HD. You can only use the high speed USB transfer to the pocketdish if the program was recorded in SD. I sure hope this changes soon, but that's the way it is now.

You can connect the PD to the 622 via S-Video or RCA and record HD programs to it in down converted SD. However, there is currently an outstanding problem on the 622 with recording to the EXT device. I was going to try and re-test that today with L3.63 to see if there is any change. Here is a link to the thread explaining the problem.

Chuck - EXT is still broken in L3.63.

And don't count on being able to transfer HD to at least the current version of the pocketdishes. The way the transfer currently works, it would take more than an hour to copy a one hour HD recording over the USB connection.

That's the whole reason that I returned my PD. I thought that you could transfer HD content (that is downconverted) via the USB connection from the 622 to the PD. In fact, I was told that you could do this by the Archos technical support person. I don't plan on buying one until you can transfer HD content since that is 95% of what I watch.

That's what I was afraid of. I would love to have one but, like lujan, I'll wait until they work with HD. Thanks
