I remember somebody posting a thread regarding an upgrade to a 501...better hurry...offer to expire 7/31 & Dish Net had removed the links. I suggested that the offer was nothing special and would probably continue past 7/31. Guess what...no expiration date listed anymore. So again I say...big deal!

I bought my 501 back at the end of October because the "deal" was going to expire 10/31/01. Guess what? It never did. Charlie stated that he wanted to be the first to hit the million PVR mark and this is his ploy to do it. Hurry on in, folks, get your PVR before our deal expires! Then they extend it and extend it and extend it and............................

With the 508 and 721 out I can't imagine that the price of a 501 would go up. I was hoping it would go down. But I am unsure how long the 501 stays in production.

I just upgraded to a 508 pvr on the digital home plan for only $50 bucks. Great deal

I dont know why they are using the 501 instead of 508 for the promo unless they are trying to rid of the rest of the 501's.

I think they ARE trying to get rid of the 501s. With the 508s at the same price who would buy a 501?

They just tried to squeeze that one by some people that did not know about the 508 yet.
