Currently have my 3 lnd dish attached to the side of the house with the original bracket it comes with attached to the cement blocks wth tapcons. Will they be able to install to the cement blocks like the old 1 is? Question 2 if they can do I need to buy anything additional?

My previous 3 lnb dish was attached to the side of my house. I had my 5 lnb installed today, and the installer insisted that due to the weight it had to be screwed into the roof.

I don't get it it's screwed into concrete:confused: . Roof is plywood. I'm in the lightning capital.

I'm jst trying to get things ready when they show up. I really want it on the side of the house.
Thanks

You should be able to Google the force/weight limitations for various concrete anchor devices to help with your solution.

The size of the foot (original bracket, what mounts to your house) is different between the oval dish and the AT9. When my AT9 was installed the bracket had to be swapped and the installer could only use one of the existing holes. You also may want to look at where you will be able to mount a mono pole in the setup.
My old eliptical Directway/Directv antenna is mounted via a curved post mounted by sunk bolts into the bricks of a chimeny. As I have a slate roof and huge trees on two sides of the house, the location options are limited. Will they be able to put the 5-lnb onto my existing post? I think it's strong enough to hold up a VW.
Thanks for any feedback.

I understand they have to change the foot, I have no prob there. I just want to know if they say the concrete block is strong enough. Do the installers bring monopoles with them on the install?
Thanks

My installer put 2 monopoles on my dish. I didn't even have to ask.
