Nielsen begins monitoring TiVo usage

According to News.com Nielsen will be monitoring Tivo usage.

It will be interesting to see what becomes of this....

interesting, they could see what poeple actually choose to record vs. what they watch live.

And what gets people attention. The previews that Tivo downloads for you could be analyzed and fine tuned so that people will view them...

It is good to see that the Nielsen people recognize the importance of PVRs...

I wonder if there is an "opt out" of this? I don't like the idea of TiVo or nielsen monitoring my activity.

I think you have to "opt in" for Nielsen... :shrug:
