Interesting Ordering Issue

I decided to switch back to DirecTv when I move into my new house and after my fourth call to the installation folks I found out that due to high demand for the HR20 they are limiting people to 1 order every 6 months. I really wanted two HR20's but I didn't want to have to pay $500 up front to get them ($299 each - $100 rebate). I've opted for one HR20 and one standard DirecTv Plus DVR until I can get a second HR20.

Really just an FYI for those trying to order multiples.

Interesting. You should be able to order multiple units from BestBuy, Value Electronics, and other resellers.

When I was speaking with Customer Retention last night about ordering one for my living room (the only HDTV in the house), the CSR asked if I was only replacing one of my old Series 1 Tivos. The tone of his voice and the way he asked the question indicated that two wouldn't have been a problem. Oh, and I got it for free (including free installation and 5-LNB dish). Yay me!
