I've only had the VIP622 for about 5 weeks. This morning I turned it on to watch a recording, and it immediately told me it had to erase everything on the hard drive due to corrupted content, and to keep the hard drive from going bad( my words, I'm not sure what it said exactly).
As soon as it did that, and came back on, it started to record what was left of what it was recording. It was only 3-5 minutes, but it was on the hard drive. Luckily there was only one thing lost, but is this a usual occurrence, or do I have a hard drive going bad?
I also get the recovered message on all OTA recordings, even though they are all there, and fully recorded. Are these two things related or coincidental? The OTA recordings don't have any info other than digital service, which is why, I assume, that it always says it is one hour, even though it is more.

This is happening more and more, it seems. Fortunately you only lost one show. If you see the message again, do not delete everything. Just reboot the machine. Other people have seen this error, too, and a reboot makes it go away without deleting everything.

Perhaps we could use a sticky thread for this error at this point.
