I know this is insignificant and will vanish into the netherworld of old threads almost instantly, but I believe in credit where credit is due.
I was very nervouse about my upcoming HR20/AT9 install--rural area, tech had to come from 100 miles away, multi-switch not mentioned on order. And I had never seen an AT9 in this area, so there aren't many.
The installer was scheduled for 1-5PM, but he called at 7:45AM to tell me he might be EARLY! I stayed home from work and sure enough, there he was at 11AM. He told me the 5LNB dish could not mount where my PIII was because it did not see enough of the sky--I'm sure it would be sufficient, but it did not meet his requirements. He cemented me in a pole mount about 30 feet away and had little problem aiming the dish.
I ran an extra lead under the house for him while he installed the Zinwell WB-68. He even had the (not-yet-needed) BBCs in the box. Good signals all around; even some signal from some transponder's spot beams on the 99 and 103. And so far (24 hours) the HR20 has been perfect.
I've got two R15s with only a few resets necessary in 2 months, one HR20, and one standard receiver, all working fine. I'm very happy and felt the need to let everyone know that some installers know what they are doing!
