So I called over to ATAT today to get my phone serviced transferred over to our new townhome down in Newport Beach. The woman whom I spoke with on the phone, asked if I was planning on getting internet as well as TV. I told her, "yes absolutely". I must have internet for my work, but I can survive without TV". She then told me, that they can give me a great deal on all three. They offered me America's Top 120(Dish Network), Internet and land line phone service for $75.00 a month. I told her while that was a great deal, I have a 60" LCD and I didn't want to spend that much. So she says I can upgrade you to the HD Silver package, free local channels(don't have to pay the $5.00 every month), and a free dual tuner, along with a VIP 622(Yes, still have the monthly fee with that), and the bill came out to for everything $89.91 a month! She also said that nornally they give 3 months of a premimum service, but because I was switching everything over that day, they gave me 6 months of a premium channel of my choice. She said if I chose Starz I would get a $20.00credit as well(however, I picked HBO because of all the original programming). I also got a free cable modem(through a rebate I have to fill out and send it....but I will do it) as well as 2 RAZR phones, 2 blootooth earpieces, including free local calling, free calling on anyone associated with Cingular(which all my friends and family are with) and free weekend minutes. THe bill came out to $110.25(plus tax) for landline phone, DSL internet for 2 rooms, HD Silver package(with dual tuner and VIP 622 receiver) and our cell phone bill. I am so happy I was able to combine everything and put it all on one bill. It saves so much hazzle. Has anyone else done this? Is this a great deal?

Just curious.. Have you actually had this installed and gotten a bill. Or is this figure just what they told you it would be.. Around here the baby bell company is notorious for quoting prices.. Which never seem to be what you actually get.
If it's for real then it does look like you may have a great deal..

Did they guarantee that you'll have a Line of Sight for the Dish ?
Any Early termination Fees if things don't work out?
I've heard a few Stories too about their Promises until you get the Bill?
But... Hope yours works out for you !

Yeah, post again AFTER you get your first bill. If it matches the quote I'll be surprised, but I hope you get it. It could be possible if they're giving away the phone and internet service....I just don't think E* is giving that good a deal through AT&T, or anywhere.

To which they will start adding taxes and and access fees.
My local telco insists my monthly hard line fee is less than $15 even though my cost is well over $30.

My son gets his DSL, phone and Dish Network on a similar package deal and pays a lot less than I do for the same three purchased independent of each other. I can't remember the exact amounts, but I remember being surprised at how good a deal it was.

I get something of the same through AT&T, though when I signed up last year, it was through SBC. I get AT120 with a dual tuner DVR, local phone and DSL (3 Mbs service) all for about $100 a month. I also have a 'mini' package on the phone covering long distance for 7 cents a minute flat rate. I do long distance on my cell.
This is Michigan, so the rates are a bit different, and this is carryover from last year's deal. It is convenient having all on one bill - I get mine debited directly from my checking account. Definitely a savings when comparing the competition on seperate bills, and AT&T is pretty good on giving you exactly what they quote. Plus, I like the idea of a local phone through an 'experienced' phone provider (read not through VoIP via Comcast)

I thought you didn't wan to spend that much? It goes to prove power of "trade-up." The idea is for us is not to spend a penny more than planned or desired for that medium soda, but upon seeing how the large soda is only 10 cents more, we say, "Hey, that's a bargain," and prepare to spend more money until we see that the extra-large soda is only an additonal 5 cents more than the large soda. So now we say, "Hey, that is only a toatal of 15 cents more than the original medium size. What a bargain! I better be a smart shopper and pay more to get the best bargain." That is value pricing, and it allows retailers to manupulate us into willingly give them more money than you had wisley put a limit on. We are now have 15 cents less in our pocket for additional soda that we most likley didn't need.
Ex.2: Bread priced at $1 won't sell, but re-price it as a value-- or 2 loaves for $1.75--and they can't keep the stuff on the shelves, and they have 75 more cents to show for an item that costs far less. My point is, best to shop at bottom line, not necessarily for value that can lead us into buying things that were not on the list of our original intent. Are we really gonna use all that stuff, and will it work?
It could be a really amazing deal, and I hope it is for you. But I am a bit skeptical. I would be far more worried about getting in far deep a price than I had originally set my limits at. Please let us know when you get your bill becasue, if it is a good deal, we may want to subscribe too. Thanks.

better double check for hd Silver is $59.99 per month and locals are always $5 per month as far as I know you can only get a free standard 625 DVR receiver or the 211 hd receiver. The 622 hd DVR is $199.99 no lease fee if new customer but it is still leased just covered under the program package. For the rest of the deal I don't know much other offers. :eek2:
But if you can get the 622 for free jump on that deal.
