Smile Questions about 622 install tomorrow.
Dish will be installing my HD 622 receiver tomorrow. I live in north Louiaiana on the Arkansas border. Will a Dish 1000 be okay as far as signal strength goes? I currently have a superdish with a model 4800 legacy receiver. Also, should he hook this up via HDMI or will he have the cabling for this? What else should I look for? I am a Electronic Technician that understands the basics of satellite technology enough to be dangerous. What kind of signal strength should I receive with this dish 1000 on 129? Currently with the superdish I receive 105+ signal strength on 110 and 119 and 85 signal strength at best on 105 even though I currently receive no subscription channels via 105 satellite.
Any suggestions for tomorrows install would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

what part of Louisiana are you from? I am 100 miles NE of Shreveport. Is your problem with 129 the Dish Techs or obstructions. My installer is based in Leesville Louisiana 250 miles from me. Figure that; must own some company close to me. Can you receive High Definition RCA jacks? You must be talking about component video. I have purchased a HDMI cable (phillips24k solid gold) for approx 34 dollars. Good luck

I am near Lafayette,, i believe the problem with 129 is E* problem. At the menu 611 sat 129 is showing a signal on some transponders but there's a message
in orange below the signal strength saying its sat 110.
