I know, a GOOD Report, what the "H" is it doing here. Thought I'd throw one in for a change of pace BECAUSE yesterday, thanks be to God, I was given a GREAT Service Man named Derwin. He came out and verified that my 811 Receiver was "belly UP" - I had been w/o TV for over a week.....so I told him to please replace it........he says that they are an out of date product now and they don't carry them on the truck. He could have one shipped to my home in several more days OR - I could have him install a NEW 211. Initially I said NO - when I knew that I would have to go from my AT120 to HD Silver and a $20 increase per month and then there was the $49.95 INSTALL Fee. I eventually told him that IF they would wave that $49.95 Fee and put that 211 in today while he is here I'd go for it. (He agreed that he too felt it was in their interest to do that - even though they would not get that $49.95, they would get $20 more a month from me and also get me service again). Anyway, he gets on the phone and explains the situation to a CR and he or she says - SORRY he would have to pay that $49.95. I told Derwin that I read here on this site that many say IF you get the answer you don't want from one of them call back again and you might get the opposite answer. He called again and politely explained the whole deal and whoever he got this time - WENT to BAT for US.....took a little bit, BUT he came back with an approval to INSTALL that 211 with fee waiver. WOW! Didn't expect to make a change like this BUT am a HAPPY Camper - - - really like this 211 - - - ONLY one thing I wish, that you could still get Program Info for OTA Locals like with the 811 - that was a SHOCK at first, then I remembered reading that here. Will live with that to save at least $5 a month and keep my Sunday TV Guide at hand for locals.
