I come home, having recorded Mich St vs. Illinois on SNY and Dancing w/ the Stars on ABC - when I get home, I stop taping the football game to switch to the Tigers-Yankees game - it tells me it needs to switch to record Dancing, I say OK. It switches to ABC.

I then try to change to ESPN to watch the game, and it won't let me without stopping my recording of Dancing (keep in mind, NOTHING ELSE is being recorded at this time). I tell it to stop recording, and switch channels to ESPN, thinking I can then re-record the last part of Dancing - it WILL NOT let me finish the Dancing recording...

Out of curiosity, did you have the recording padded on the football game. I had a very similar thing happen Sunday on CBS. The 4:00 game ran long as they normally do, so I had to pad the recordings for Amazing race at 8:00 and Without a Trace at 10. I needed an extra 40 min. but that isn't an option so I added an hour to each.
So at about 9:40 I stopped the Amazing race recording and tried to switch the channel and the message popped up saying that it would need to cancel recording Desperate Housewives (that started recording at 9) to switch channels. It seemed as though the 2nd tuner was stuck recording the pad on the first recording, even though I had stopped the recording of the race. At 10, when only Without a Trace was recording, it allowed me to switch channels again.

Nope, didn't pad it...was only recording it because I wanted to make sure I got all of the Mets post-game coverage. Once I got home and watched the end of the post-game show, I didn't need to tape any further (which is why I was trying to cancel the recording)...

Same problem last night also, but with different channels, don't remember off top of my head, but wouldn't let us change the channel without stopping the one and only recording that was in progress. (I think it was DOG the bounty hunter on A&E).

Hmmmmm...... :scratchin

I wonder if for some reason the R15's are losing the ablitity to use the second tuner. It seems like a lot of people recently have been having more and more issues with shows not record. A lot of them have been where only one of two shows haven't record. I wonder if showcases are messing up the R15's ability to use the second tuner sometimes?
