Getting new dvd/mp3/cd/player

Not a techie genius but i am getting a dvd player in a couple of weeks...just wanted to know if i can hook up the player to the sattelite receiver or do i have to hook up to the tv....brand name is Koss i got it from some air miles my husband accumulated so i am a happy camper........thanks melanie

You will have to hook it up to the TV, HT rcvr or A/V switch box.

a switch box or source selector as it's also called, is a box that hooks into your composite/svhs input on your TV and allows you too hook other components into it.

thanks steve...got it....near buffalo eh...i use to shop there once a month in Williamsville when our canadian dollar meant something.....driving from toronto and back now live in reno...take care.
