View Full Version : Missing LED in center circle - What would you do?

My HR-20 (about 2 weeks old) came with one of the LEDs in the center circle not working. Obviously, this is not a critical problem; never-the-less it still bugs me! Should I ask to replace or just be happy I got the machine for free? What would you do?

jgrade, Welcome to DBSTalk. :) If it is a huge issue, and to some it would be, call and ask for a replacement. Alot of users don't like the infamous "blue ring" and just turn it off. If your HR20 is performing well, then i would keep it, as you may get a replacement that doesn't.

it's an HR20. feel lucky thats the worst of your problems.

People seem to be losing their sense of humor with this thing. :p Let's hope over the next few weeks/months that the box rounds into shape for thosing having the most difficulties. (and I agree completely with your observation...I almost wrote the same thing (worst of problems), but I was laughing too hard.

I'd replace it right now. But I'm really anal about that kind of stuff.

Hell, I'd figure out a way to break the rest of the LEDs. :D

(Seriously, I know you can turn them off, but the just come back on every time you reboot!)

I don’t get upset about these kinds of things anymore, even the enormous amount of bugs in this box. I was one of the early adaptors of the SAT-60 (first gen DTiVo). Imagine the outrage when we all fond out the dual tuners were not active! Much like the ATSC not being active. I guess I will keep it. Thanks for the feedback.
