Hi,
I recently upgraded to VIP 622 and HD bronze package for $199 fees and $100
rebate ($10/month for 10 mnths). I see that in my new bill they charge me a
LEASED RECEIVER FEE and also a DISH NETWORK DVR SERVICE , why both?
I have my phone line connected to the VIP622, so they should charge me only
one of the fees, 'is'nt it?
1.LEASED RECEIVER FEE 5.98
2.DISH NETWORK DVR SERVICE 5.98
One is the lease charge for the 622 DVR and the other charge is for use of the DVR capabilities (pause, FF, RW, record, etc.). I know it doesn't make sense but anything to make a buck. All of us are being charged this. Shout if you're not...
There is yet a 3rd $5.00 fee if the 622 isn't connected to a phone line.
Also shout if your lease fee is really $5.98 and not $6.00.

Upgrade to HD Platinum . . . no DVR fees for ANY DVRs in your house. I have both a 622 and an older 522. Because I have the Platinum Package I do not pay DVR fees for either of those receivers.
When I priced out my old 942 package + HD + HBO + DVR fees, it was about the same price as Platinum which has EVERY pay channel . . .

The lease fee is still charged, if applicable.

When I look at that package on one of the (many different) channel lineup pages, it only lists the HD pay channels. Are you saying it also includes the SD versions of the pay channels? And does it include the adult channels? Thanks.
Adult channels are not included. But, it does include the HD and SD versions of all the movie channels and other normal content channels.

It doesnt seem to include the distant independent channels like WWOR or WPIX does it?

Does not include superstations, unless they're your locals. I.e. I get wwor and wpix, but not WSBK, KWGN or KTLA.
