DVR 622 can you... [Archive]

On the DVR 622 in single mode, can you record 2 shows and watch live TV at the same time?

I'm am considering changing from cable to either Dish or Directv and am interested in the capabilities of each company's HD-DVR receivers.

You can do that if one of the three shows is OTA and you have an antenna hooked into the 622. It can either be an outside antenna or inside antenna. So, you could have three different shows going as long as one is on an OTA channel. If you don't have an OTA antenna hooked up the best you could do is watch something already recorded while recording two other shows.
