So I am looking at this week's SuperFan block and I see that my Chiefs are not being shown in HD! They are playing away at Arizona. How does DirecTV decide which feed to use for the HD games and are there certain restrictions? Is there anyone to call to make it known that there is a high demand for a particular game in HD? Are there restrictions on who's feed they can take based on the home/away team, conference, whatever? I am really bummed about being forced to watch in SD, so I hope there is a solution. Please advise. TIA!

EDIT: Appears that Arizona's brand new state of the art facility is not equipped with HD cameras and broadcast equipment. Pathetic.

If I'm not mistaken, it's actually CBS that is the problem. They only do three HD games per week, and yours isn't on that list.

DirecTV carries all games that are shot in HD. Fox does up to 6. CBS only does 3. KC game is one of 4 this week in standard def thanks to CBS.

KC is an AFC team and the CBS/Fox determination is based on the "away" team conference. So, as was mentioned, CBS is carrying this game. Fox does all their NFL games in HD, CBS does not. You are at the mercy of CBS on this one.

thanks for clearing it up everyone. total bummer. I guess I will get on the horn to CBS and let them know to step up their game!
