First a note -- we're in the wilderness of the Rocky Mtns without chance of getting our local stations on DTV, let alone in HD.

Now... With the release of the new HR20, we finally took the plunge and upgraded to HD. At the time of order last month, we were assured that because we had waivers previously granted to receive all E/W networks, we would automatically be qualified to receive the HD E/W networks after our upgrade. We even have the Customer Rep name and empl # -- which we have since found out is totally worthless!

As usual with DTV, nothing is as it was told. Yesterday, the new 5LNB dish was installed with the new HD receiver - and quess what? No HD networks (ABC/CBS/NBC). Spent almost 90 minutes on the phone yesterday doing battle with DTV -- being transferred between Customer Retention (threatening to cancel) and the HD Dept, and back again. Finally, was cut off -- meaning I'd have to start all over again.

Question: Has anyone had their Network waivers transferred to the HD Networks, without having to go through the painful and time-consuming qualification process again?

Unfortunately if you've had networks in the past from LA and NY and you had waivers on file you basically have to go through the same process for the HD DNS -- meaning dtv has to submitt the waivers and you have to wait 30-45 days etc. It sucks.. I know

When we got the HD box we also called and request waivers for the HD channels. Turns out the submitted waivers for the non-HD stations and I wound up with FOX on 388.

So we call back and tell them they submitted the wrong thing, so they say they'll submit the correct ones.

Get the notice in the mail that we can't get anything. Not even the FOX that we were granted in non-HD (which I still get).

I've been getting SD DNS (Distant Network Service) for about 6 years now. Got the waivers then. I tried to get waivers for the HD channels in Feb and couldn't.
