When I press "menu" twice to see the firmware version, I get a very short blip of what looks like a hex editor or a dump you'd see in the old DOS "debug" command. It flashes so fast that I can't read any numbers/letters. In fact, I'm not even sure they are numbers/letters: the layout is just similar to a hex editor where you have two aligned panels/groupings of symbols. Has anyone else seen anything similar? Everything seems to work fine. Just wondering. I even unplugged the 622 from my VP30 and went direct to the TV (Panny plasma) and it still does it, eliminating the VP30. Now I just don't know whether it is the 622 or the plasma doing this. I'm afraid to reboot the 622 until I figure this out since it may disappear if I do that. Anything I should test or look for? I guess I'm just dreaming to think I might be on to something: some way to enter a "debugging" tool on the 622 that we're not supposed to know about.
