Ever since 3.65 came along a new quirk is happening. When I do a "point dish" to check signal strength I loose the channel I was watching. I have to change channels then go back to the original channel. Also twice when this happened I received a message that I need to run a "check switch" test. From what I have read in other post there has been some problems after running the "test switch test" so I have hit cancel each time.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone else have the same thing happen?

p.s. I have a "unplug reboot" along with a disconnect of the coax. That didn't make any difference.

Mine goes back to the channel normally. I tried it from all 4 orbital locations.
Sounds like you're "seeing" a switch error, and perhaps should go ahead and run check-switch to correct it.
Maybe reset your switch...if it's a 44:confused:

I'm having the same problem but I think it started back with L3.63. I have seen it happen every time I check the signal strength for 129 on TP 7 in my area that bring in the HD locals on satellite. Every time I check the strength and then get out of the menu the channel is blank with no audio. I have to tune up or down to the next channel and then back to get the audio/video.

I had something similar to this happen to me when my 622 was installed (about a month ago) The weird thing is, that it only effected my 510 receiver in another room. The 510 kept getting error 004 (multi dish switch error) a check switch test would fix it but it kept the error about twice a day for awhile. For some reason when 3.65 hit my 622 it stopped happening. Weird I know, and maybe just a coincidence, but maybe 3.63 just wasn't "switch friendly".
