721 Remote Help

I have tried to address my remote for my 721 to my Sony DAV-S500 DVD/Home Theater System with no luck. I called DISH and of course no luck. I would really like it to at least control power and volume if nothing else. Has anybody else had this problem?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. I was going to post something about it. Use the codes on this link (I think they are for the 501?), they worked for me on my Sony DVD player. On the AUX controls, you gotta remember to put a 2 or 1 or whatever before the code, I couldn't get my Aiwa stereo to work with the remote until I read the manual more closer and used "2"+ the manual code.
