Snopple

Thursday afternoon an installer came to upgrade my round dish to the oval so I can receive the Buffalo locals off the 119 satellite. Nothing but problems.
On my UTV, after the upgrade I was getting the locals fine for about a day. Then the picture started breaking up on to the point that it was totally unwatchable. Not only on the locals, but on everything I subscribe to on the 101 satellite.
So I called D*. Their techs had me reset the receiver by unplugging it for about 15 seconds. After I restarted it everything from the 101 satellite was perfect. But I lost everything from the 119. The channel info no longer appear on the guide. When I tried going to the channels, all I get is the "channel not available" message. The D* tech walked me through the dish set up. Everything was set properly. The Signal Strength test showed I was receiving a very strong signal from the 119 on the odd numbered transponders, but nothing on the even numbered transponders. He said I should call the installer back. These is and odd-even transponder problem. Probably some kind of voltage problem with the LNB or possibly bad cabling.
My second receiver is a Philips DirectTivo. After the upgrade, it never did receive any programing from the 119. The Signal Strength test shows acceptable signal (slightly above 70) on the odd numbered transponders. Again nothing on the even. During setup, the DirectTivo tells me that on both SAT IN 1 and 2 the 101 (A) is ok but the 119 (B) says "Right Side Not Detected".
The next screen says that "The receiver detected a wiring problem while confirming dish set up. Please check that are connected directly to or from multi-switch and that multi-switch is wired correctly." The techs at D* figure it's a faulty LNB.
I apologize for the long post. Anyone have any further ideas on what the problem might be and what I can tell them when they return tomorrow morning. Thanks in advance.
