Since I've had a number of problems occur when turning 'on' my D15-100, I was wondering if there was any way for the D15 to ignore the TV-Off button on the remote.
In other words, I want my R15 to stay on. :bang
Thanks.

Move the selector switch so it indicates TV and use middle the power button.
We use Harmony universal remotes and each device can be programmed to "always leave on." We do that with all our DVRs.

Yes, but then you have to move it back to control the R15.
For now, I just dug up my old TV remote, and am using that for power control.

I think APK's solution is probably better if you don't want to deal with multiple remotes.

You find it easier to pick up a second remote use it to turn the TV on and off and then switch back to the R15 remote then to slide a switch on the top of the remote back and forth?

I was considering the service life of the slide switch.

I don't think thats something you have to worry about. Should last quit a long time.

I was thinking the same thing. I use mine to turn on my A/V receiver. The detents seem kind of wimpy. I'm finding it harder and harder to stop at the correct position.

I wouldn't worry too much about the slide switch. DirecTV will usually replace those remotes for free.
