Dish reporting profit

NEW YORK, Aug 15 (Reuters) - EchoStar Communications Corp. (DISH), the No. 2 U.S. satellite television company, rose after it reported that it swung to a second quarter profit against a year-earlier loss, helped by subscriber growth at its Dish Network service. I just noticed a few minutes ago there stock was up $1.69 a share......Dish is starting to cash in on all the new subs they got last year under the I LIKE 9 promo, my bill just went up $22.00.
I'm just commenting I know this has nothing to do with these profits.

Maybe this is why they came out with a similar promotion this year and made it last so much longer this time for the remainder of the year. I think the monthly credits making up for system cost was a very good seller and still is.
