AV remote codes not listed

If the AV manufacturer is not listed with remote codes, is there any way to find a code and program an RC24 for the device? Does it take a "learning remote", and is the D*'s RC24 able to learn?

No, there isn't a learning feature. But you can do a codesearch by power or vol. What is the brand of AV receiver anyways? To codesearch by vol: First there needs to be a TV code programmed to the TV device, then:

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-1, wait for two blinks
4. enter 3
5. press VOL UP and release
6. with the AUD receiver ON and remote pointed at it
7. keep pressing & releasing the CH UP key, if and when the vol changes
8. press SELECT to lock in code.

To unlock the TV vol:

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-3
4. press VOL UP

Thanks for the reply.......I've tried the code serch, for about 2 min. Not long enough? The brand is "Rotel" model RSX965.

Certainly not long enough, but it doesn't matter anyways there isn't a code for the rotel, sorry.
