Is there anyway I can split one cable into two say for instance on the DVR?

Nope.

Tell us more about the type of satellite dish you have and how many Receivers and DVRs you have. Most current dishes have four outputs at the dish, so if you have an unused output there you'll need to run a cable from the dish to the second tuner on your DVR. If all of those dish outputs are used, you'll need something called a "multiswitch" to expand the dish's 4 outputs to 8 or more outputs.

I am a technician and I was just trying to find an easier way out of running another cable on an upgrade, for instance if the cable was in the wall and has to be fished.

I have a Sonora Stacker and Destacker set I'll sell you for $150. You only need 101*, right?

That's why we need to know what type of dish he has. This stacker/destacker will work if his current dish is the round single LNB dish. More expensive stacker/destackers are available for the 3-LNB Phase III dish. But no stacker/destackers exist for the new 5-LNB dish.
