Ok, I got installed yesterday and today it dawns on me that he didn't ground the system at all. I have no idea what the grounding block looks like so trying to find it might prove difficult.
I called Dish tonight and they want me to check "inside" the mounting pole before they send out a tech. I told him that unless they have a way of grounding the system without cutting the coax then it never happened. Anyway he insisted that they would not send anyone without me checking. I have a single piece of coax from the LBN to the receiver and the only connection is the back of the wall plate and then to the receiver.
Should I be looking for anything else? Does anyone have a pic of a grounding block that they can post for me to see. The phone guy said that it was smaller than a splitter and had a copper wire running out to ground it. There is no copper wire anywhere from the dish to anything that I can see from the ground.
How dangerous am I right now assuming that it isn't grounded at all?
thanks for letting me rant a little tonight. Just ticked since the installer showed up at 1:15 for an 8-12 install on a beautiful Saturday morning.
