I was just curious what the likelyhood of the install date being kept. If and when I get my box are there specific things I should do right away(software update ect...)Super newb here so thanks for the advice.

Your installer should have called to confirm the appointment. Check your caler ID and give the local company a calll and verify they actually have the unit. As far as updates, the unit will grab them automatically, barring no glitches, after it is up and running. This usually occurs overnight.

Well the install was for 1-5pm but the installer called me at 6:45 am and said he was free at 7am and could come do the install then if I wanted. This was great because I wouldnt have to leave work early. Its now setup and seems to be fine. Thanks for the tips everyone.
P.S. The installer said they just recieved 50 units.
