View Full Version : TV 2 and an EDTV
I recently phased out my plasma edtv from my main viewing area (tv1), and would like to use it in my bedroom where my tv2 output is. Now the tv2 output is only the coax coming from the wall to the "antenna in" of a tv. The plasma i have does not have an "antenna in" connection, only component, s-video, dvi, and composite. Is there a converter/switcher out there where I can hook up the coax and switch it to component?

You can get a tuner, but the TV2 output is limited to SD and the RF output is an "analog" signal (NTSC not ATSC).
Perhaps an extender for the composite A/V signals for TV2 would help.
You must have an old VCR sitting around. That converts the coax to RCA composite (some have S-Video too). You'd have to turn on the VCR to watch but the NTSC source doesn't demand a component connection. At least for a short term solution.
